Prof. Dr. Lorenzo Cantoni

He graduated in Philosophy and holds a PhD in Education and Linguistics. He is full-time professor at USI – Università della Svizzera italiana (Lugano, Switzerland), Faculty of Communication Sciences, where he is the director of the Institufoto_cantoni_scheda_web2te for Communication Technologies. Lorenzo Cantoni is also the scientific director of the laboratories webatelier.net, NewMinE Lab: New Media in Education Lab, and eLab: eLearning Lab.

His research interests are where communication, education and new media overlap, ranging from computer mediated communication to usability, from eLearning to eTourism, from ICT4D to eGovernment.

He is chair-holder of the UNESCO chair in ICT to develop and promote sustainable tourism in World Heritage Site; and President of IFITT – International Federation for IT in Travel and Tourism.

He was the Dean of the Faculty in the academic years 2010-2014.

 

 

Dr. Tamara Rátztamara_ratz

She is Professor of Tourism and Director of the Institute of Tourism and Business Studies at the Kodolányi János University of Applied Sciences. She gained her PhD in Management Sciences from the Budapest University of Economic Sciences and Business Administration” (currently Corvinus University of Budapest). In addition to being Visiting Lecturer at HAMK University of Applied Sciences in Finland between 1995 and 2011, she has taught various tourism-related courses in Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, Bulgaria, the Ukraine, Romania and Turkey. She is the author and co-author of more than 150 publications on tourism, including a number of books focusing on the impacts of tourism, visitor and attraction management, health tourism and quality life. She is also actively involved in consultancy in tourism education and destination development, both Hungary and abroad.

Her current research interests include cultural and heritage tourism development and management, furthermore creativity and innovation in niche tourism development.
